Originally I didn’t plan to keep a pup from this litter but always be prepared for the unexpected 😉
Jinx’s sire Isaac is my last unicorn through his sire’s (Bond) bloodline. As far as I know this is the only offspring of Mr. Bond left with the hopes to add to the European gene pool in the future as her brother Quill is a Canadian citizen now.
Jinx has great bone structure and a lovely temperament.
Now all we can do is wait, see her grow up and hope for her to turn into a wonderful example of our beloved breed.
Jinx is the mother of our WindDrover K-litter, her babies live in Germany and Denmark.
Update November 2021:
Jinx now is 2 yrs old and fully grown (not fully matured though).
Unfortunately she stands well above standard for a female (she’s the only one in the litter that got so tall) but as the other health tests and genetics came back bloody great and her bloodline is pretty unique we decided to go ahead and work on getting the breeding permission for Jinx.
I’ve got my eyes on a stud already 😉
Update March 2020:
And again life took us down a road we never expected.
What to do when your friend of almost 20 yrs, who is an avid, dedicated and experienced Cattle Dog person, all of a sudden is without dog and because of that in a really bad place? What, if said friend comes for a visit for a couple of days and your youngest dog and your close friend whom you trust without reservation have an instant connection, with your pup literally being glued to your friends side all the time?
After lots of talks we decided to let Jinx go to live with my friend Becky. We officially co-own this beautiful little creature, will have her around regularly and if she turns out as healthy and sound as we hope she will have a litter or two here at WindDrover.
Let’s be honest, Jinx is living THE LIVE with Becky who no doubt will train her better than I ever could and who will love this pup until the day she’ll leave this earth. Loves you both, my friend and my pup.

Eigentlich war nicht geplant, dass einer der H-Welpen bei uns bleibt aber erstens kommt es anders und zweitens…
Jinx’s Sire Isaac ist durch die Blutlinie seines Vaters (Bond) das letzte Einhorn. So weit ich weiss, ist Jinx der letzte Nachkomme von Mr. Bond, die eventuell später zum Genpool unserer Rasse in Europa beitragen kann da ihr Bruder Quill jetzt ein kanadischer Staatsbürger ist.
Jinx hat eine tolle Knochenstärke und ein wunderbares Temperament. Jetzt können wir einfach nur abwarten, schauen wie sie aufwächst und hoffen, dass sie sich zu einem wunderbaren Beispiel unserer Rasse entwickelt.
Jinx ist die Mutter unseres WindDrover K-Wurfes, ihre Nachkommen leben in Deutschland und Dänemark.
Update November 2021:
Jinx ist jetzt 2 Jahre alt und ausgewachsen, wenn auch noch nicht voll ausgereift.
Leider ist sie laut Standard deutlich zu gross (sie ist die einzige aus dem Wurf die so sehr gewachsen ist) aber da alles andere wirklich toll ist und wie schon oben erwähnt, ihre Blutlinie einzigartig, haben wir uns einschlossen, die Zuchtzulassung für Jinx anzustreben.
Ich habe schon einen Rüden für sie im Auge.
Update März 2020:
Und wieder hat das Leben uns auf einen ungeplanten Pfad geführt.
Was tun, wenn deine Freundin seit fast 20 Jahren, die eine engagierte, begeisterte und erfahrene Cattle Dog Person ist, urplötzlich ohne Hund leben muss und es ihr deswegen wirklich schlecht geht? Was, wenn diese Freundin für ein paar Tage zu Besuch kommt und deine jüngste Hündin und deine enge Freundin, der du absolut vertraust, sofort eine Verbindung aufbauen und dein Welpe konstant an der Seite dieser Freundin ist?
Nach langen Gesprächen haben wir beschlossen, Jinx zu meiner Freundin Becky zu geben. Wir co-ownen dieses wunderschöne kleine Wesen, werden sie regelmässig zu Besuch haben und falls sie sich so entwickelt (Gesundheit & Wesen) wie wir es uns erhoffen, wird Jinx einen oder zwei Würfe hier bei uns haben.
Und mal ganz ehrlich, Jinx hat hat ihren absoluten Traumplatz und Traummenschen gefunden.
Becky wird sie zweifellos besser trainieren als ich es je könnte und wird diesen kleinen Hund lieben bis zum Ende.
